Jesus notes

Born Bethlehem of Judea in the days of king Herod.
Wise men came from the east saying "where is he born king of the Jews?"
After the wise men have visited and chosen not to give word to Herod of Jesus's whereabouts, the angel of the lord appeared to Joseph and said to take the child into Egypt and remain there until I bring word, for Herod will seek him out to destroy him.
When Herod died an angel of the lord appeared to Joseph in Egypt telling him to take the young child and go into the land of Israel.
Learing that Herod's son was in rule over Judea he entered the city of  Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled from the prophet that the Son of God would be a Nazarene.
John the baptist was in Judea "repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"
Then came Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John to be baptised. John refuses saying it is Jesus who should baptise him. Jesus asks that John suffers him. John baptises Jesus. A dove, the spirit of god, descends and a voice from the heavens declares Jesus his son of whom he is well pleased.
After baptism Jesus goes into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil - fasting for 40 days and nights.
Jesus, on hearing John had been cast into prison departed into Galilee. From that time Jesus began to preach.
Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.  He picks up an initial following through his miracle cures of the sick and dying.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

What manner of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey him!
